Belgium-bred Toon Timmerman (he/his), better known as Timmerman, is a Ghent based DJ and promoter. Out & about since early 2015, Timmerman has been steadily cutting his teeth in Belgian underground nightlife ever since. While comfortably switching the media players for turntables and back, he walks the lines between all things house music — in the broadest sense of the word. To be found in his record bag are mostly deep house cuts, elegant 90’s trance gems, sleazy gay anthems and the occasional techno treasure trove.

Timmerman is a proud resident at Not Your Techno, the Brussels based event series, platform and collective that is rightfully striving for more queer and diverse dance floors & line ups. Represented by a four-headed resident DJ team, the Not Your Techno crew serves the Belgian LGBTQI+ community with year-round events on various locations while making major moves in Brussels underground fringes.

By day, Timmerman is part of the core team at Horst Arts & Music, one of Belgium’s most groundbreaking & innovative electronic music festivals. Timmerman has in the meantime built the reputation of a well-respected DJ all across Belgium, being the best version of himself when playing long sets for sweaty, hazy and intimate dance floors — surrounded by the vibrant community he aims to let his music resonate with.
